Married 5 February 1873 to Sarah Cardiff 2116, of Brussels, formerly of Smith's Falls, Ontario, sisterto John Cardiff, who married Mr. Hingston's sister Rebecca. They have five children -Philip 843, Richard Henry 844, Mark Edmund 845, Ethel Elizabeth 846, and Margaret Lavinia 867.
