Son of William Gillard 818 and Elizabeth 2112. Born at Brussels, 31 December 1862. Learned the trade of machinist at Brussels; afterwards moved to Joliet and worked in the Illinois Steel Works there;returned to Brussels, and afterwards went to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he died of Typhoid fever, 16 February 1884, unmarried.
