ARBOUR (l'Abbe Maurice), Maurice-Joseph-Viateur-Roger-Raphael, born in Sainte-Emelie-de-l'Energie, Joliette County, on 23 September 1908, to Thomas Arbour and Alma Laferriere, took his traditional education at Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu College, his theology education with the great seminary of Montreal, and was ordained at the Saint-Hyacinthe Seminary byMonsignor Desmarais on 10 June 1933. He then became Professor at the Saint-Hyacinthe Seminary in September 1933.
