  Upon his entry into the US at Detroit, MI, on 14 Sep 1926, he reported himself as 5'9" with a medium complexion, brown hair, and blue eyes. Hehad $35 in his pocket. In 1940, Arthur reported that in had earned $1,500 in 1939. Perhaps Arthur and Gertrude divorced and she remarried. On 05 May 1941,when re-entering the US from Windsor, daughter Audrey traveled with her mother. Audrey reported her father as Harold TOUCHETTE of 2610 Belvedere, Detroit. --> Note added 13 Jul 2012: Gertrude and Harold had married prior to Apr 1940, and Audrey took the TOUCHETTE surname, at least for a short time.
