Arbour Darrell "Chip" Arbour, age 61, of Hilliard, OH, left this Earth to the open arms of loved ones in Heaven, on Wednesday, 28 January 2014. Chip was born on 5 March 1952 in Cleveland, OH. He lived in Bellevue and graduated from Bellevue Senior High School where he was a star guard on the basketball team. In the early 80s, he moved to Columbus, OH where he met the love of his life and soul mate, Paula Jones. The two metwhile working for Cheryl's Cookies. After a successful career with Cheryl's Cookies, Chip excelled in the automotive business successfully managing dealerships for Patrick Mazda, Kelly Motors, and Crown Automotive. He retired from Crown after many years of service. Chip was an avid golfer and lover of the game. He belonged to Hickory Hills Golf Club where he was Club Champion and also achieved a hole-in-one. An all aroundsports guy, Chip was also an avid supporter of Cleveland and The OSU Buckeye sports teams. He was a proud father of his children whom he supported and watched excel both in curriculum and sports. Chip was a loverof life. He always made everyone laugh and lit up the room with his contagious smile. He conquered a lot of obstacles with his positive attitude and humor. He was strong willed,kind hearted, and passionately loved his family and devoted friends. He will be terribly missed. Jesus needed a comedian and he found one. Chip was welcomed home by his parents, Darrell and Jane "Ethel" Arbour; paternal grandparents, Ethel and FredRoberts; and maternal grandparents, Marion and Juanita Lee. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 28 years, Paula (Jones); beloved children, Sydney and Mitchell; siblings, Gloria (Robert) Miller and Neta (John) Marchion; mother-in-law, Edna Murray; sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresa and Brian Billings, and Melissa and Gary Scruggs; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; andhis 4 legged buddies. Friends may come celebrate and share his life from 1-4 pm on Saturday, 1 February 2014 at the Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N HighSt., Worthington, OH 43085, where the Funeral Service will begin at 4 pm.Pastor Jeff Leslie and Chaplain Jean Feaney officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made tothe Darrell Arbour Memorial Scholarship Fund at PNC Bank, which will go towards his children's college fund. Chip would bring jokes with him everywhere. He loved his family very much. He would help anyone whether it was a joke to make you feel better,or just simple chit chat in a Chip analogy that would make you feel happy. He was probably the best sportsguy I knew.
