Marion Arbour Seghers, on Tuesday, 16 July 2002, at 5:30 pm, at Northshore Regional Hospital. Age 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Sidney Seghers, Sr. Mother of Michael, Sidney, Jr., Jerry, David Seghers, Maryann Morris, and L. J. Seghers.Sister of Mabel Seghers and the late G. H. Arbour. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., 'inMetairie Cemetery' on Saturday, 20 July 2002 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Marion Arbour Seghers, a retired teacher, died Tuesday of congestive heart failure at Northshore Regional Hospital. She was 83. Mrs. Seghers was born in Flatbush, NY, and lived in New Orleans before moving to Slidell. She graduated from Ursuline College. She was a teacher at St Francis Cabrini Elementary School for 23 years. She also was Sunday school coordinator for St Francis Cabrini and was awarded the St Louis Medallion for her services there.
