According to the Augusta Directory, Barthelemi owned a grocery store --Toulouse and Arbour -- with Alfred J. TOULOUSE. It was located at 39 Washington Street in Augusta, ME. The two of them operatedit from about 1921 until Barthelemi's death in 1936. Alfred then continued the business under his own name until about 1969. In 1967, Alfred shared the building space with Toulouse and Dowling Real Estate. In 1971, the address was a vacant store front.

According to his WWI Draft Registration, Barthelemi was of medium height and medium build with brown eyes and dark hair.

BARTHELEMI ARBOUR
Barthelemi Arbour, in business in this city for a number of years and widely known and liked, died early Wednesday at the Fairfield Sanitorium, aged 37 years. He was the junior member of the firm of Toulouse and Arbour, grocers with a store on Washington Street. His death followed a long illness. He was born 11 April 1898, in Joliet, Canada, the son of Barthelemi and Celina Boisvert Arbour. He came to Augusta as a young boy and attended school at St Augustine's parochial school and the Augusta public schools. For a time he was employed at the Edwards Manufacturing Company and for a number of years at the former Fuller-Holway Company warehouse on Water Street. In 1921, Mr. Arbour and Mr. Toulouse entered into a business together. The deceased made friends readily and had a wide circle of loyal friends. He belonged to a number of organizations, including the Society of Artisans, Foresters, Union St Jean de Baptist, and Society de St Jean de Baptist, also the Calumet Club. Besideshis wife who was Marie Gosselin, he is survived by six daughters, Jean d'Arc, Rita, Juliette, Gabriel, Georgette, Carmine, and one son, Robert; also three sisters Sister Barthelemi of Trois Rivieres, SisterGabriel ofValley Fields, PQ, and Mrs. Treffle Gilbert of this city, and three brothers, Joseph, Edward, and Hector Arbour, all of Augusta. The body is at the home at 4 Stewart Lane, and funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8 o'clock at StAugustine's Catholic Church.

AUGUSTA -- Robert T. Arbour, 73, of Riverside Drive died 8 Aug 2000, atTogus veterans hospital after a long illness. He was born 10 April 1927, in Augusta, the son of Barthelemi and Marie (Gosselin)Arbour. He attended Augusta schools and was a communicant of St Andrew's Catholic Church. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, and was owner of Kennebec Photo Service. He was also a former member of the Calumet Club. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Arbour, and four sisters, Jeanne Harvey, Rita Harvey, Juliette Arbour, and Carmenne Seavey. He is survived by a son, David Arbour of Augusta; two daughters, Therese Arbour of Augusta and Lisa Pepin of Farmington; two sisters, Gabrielle Bouchard and Georgette Dutremble, both of Augusta; and fivegrandchildren. Burial is in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Gardiner -- Georgette Angele Dutremble, 78, of Dresden Avenue, and formerly of Lafayette Street in Augusta, died Monday, 8 Dec 2008, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta campus, following a brief illness. She was born in Augusta on 3 Jan 1930, a daughter of the late Barthelemi and Marie (Gosselin) Arbour. Mrs. Dutremble was a graduate of Cony HighSchool and had attended St Augustine Catholic Church while she lived in Augusta. She had been employed by the state Department of Mental Health for 10 years. She had also been employed by Bob Chambers Ford and Kennebec Photo for many years. Georgette left a lasting impression on allthose she met. Her kind ways and gentleness will never be forgotten. Mrs. Dutremble was predeceased by herhusband, Gerard Dutremble; two brothers, Roger and Robert Arbour; and four sisters, Jeanne Harvey, Rita Harvey, Juliette Arbour, and Carmen Seavey. She is survived by her son, Dennis Dutremble, of Jefferson; her daughterand best friend, CharleneGamage and her husband, Gregory, of Jefferson; a sister, Gabrielle Bouchard, of Augusta; two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Kathryn Maschino; two stepgrandchildren, Travis and Megan Gamage; as well as several nieces andnephews. Visiting hours will be from6 to 8 pm Thursday, 11 Dec, at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian burialwill be celebrated at 9 am Friday, 12 Dec, at St Augustine Catholic Church, Northern Avenue, Augusta. Burial will be held in the spring inHolyFamily Cemetery, Townsend Road, Augusta.
