It is thought that Englebert never married or had children, as he died young. During WWI, he was called upon to fight for his country across the ocean in Europe. He became a Corporal with Le Regimentde Maisonneuve, RCIC. Engelbert was about 27-years old when he died in France on 6 August 1944. He was buried in the Brette-Ville-Sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery in Calavdos, France.[ArbourBook]
