Some doucments Indicate that Louis-Philippe was born Daniel Sargent in Worcester Mass. His father, Dickery Sargent's home was burned and his wife killed in an indian attack in 1703 and Daniel, later baptized Louis-Philippe in Monteal was taken to Quebec by his savage captor. His sister Mary was taken captive as well.
