SHIRLEY ANN KNIGHT 28 July 1930 -- 6 January 2011
Shirley Ann Knight of Vancouver, WA, a much loved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away 6 Jan 2011, at Portland Providence Hospital. She was born in Portland, OR, the second of four children of Carl and GraceArbour and graduated from VancouverHigh School. Shirley worked many years for C2F, a craft supply company, as a salesperson to the Fred Meyer Stores in the Northwest and Alaska, planning product displays and setting them up in the stores. Shirley enjoyed watercolor painting, playingbells in Columbia Presbyterian Church Bell Choir, camping, traveling,and motorcycle riding. Shirleyis survived by her husband of 61 years, Gary Knight; daughter, Catherine Knight of Kirkland, WA; sons, GeoffreyKnight of Eugene, OR, and GregoryKnight of Costa Mesa, CA; grandson, Ryan Waggoner of Kenmore, WA; and sister, Eileen O'Neil of Vancouver, WA. A Celebration of Life will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on 5Feb 2011 at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybemadeto the Alzheimer's Association, MS Society, or the Columbia Presbyterian Church Bell Choir.
