  According to the 1940 Census, Rome had completed the 8th grade. In 1940, Rome reported that he had earned nothing in 1939. Also according to the 1940 Census, Rome was 46-years old, making him born in about 1893. ??? ___ Rome sailed with Ruth First Class on the "RMS Mauretania," arriving in New York, NY, on 22 Feb 1951, apparently returning from a vacation in Havana, Cuba.   He married 3 times and had no children
