Three West End youths who, police charge, attempted to settle a difference of opinion by the fistic method last night had charges of disorderly conduct placed on file on payment of costs after they pleaded guilty before Judge Antoine A. Guertin at this morning's session of Municpal Court. According to police, the trio, Robert Provencher, 21, of 57C Walnut St, Maurice Laveille, 23, of 30 Palm St, and Roland Arbour, 22, of 23 Palm St, were arrested following a fight on High St at the corner ofHarrison about 10:30 last night.

SWIMMERS GAMBOL INRIVER WHILE COPS WAIT ON SHORE
Police arrested two men for drunkeness yesterday after the pair swam inthe Nashua River near the Main StreetBridge. Scores of spectators observed police as they rescued one swimmer who got tired. He had gone intothe water after authorities ordered him to get dressed. Police identified the two men as William Lester, 41, Merrimack, and Roland Arbour,34,of 18 Vine St. . . . Arbour was not arraigned this morning. He faces charges of 1, drunkeness and 2, resisting arrest. When police arrived atthe scene, northeast bank of the Nashua River, the authorities said Lester was sitting on thebank, in the nude, while Arbour wasin the water.Arbour, wearing shorts, came out of the river upon order of police whodirected him to dress. Moments later and fully dressed, Arbour leaped into the water. Policec estimated he swam for about15 minutes and then tired. Police pulled him ashore by use of a rope.
