Excerpts from Pete's online Guestbook -- 20 Oct 2009
17 October 2009
Those who you have left behind will forever remember your gentle ways and joyful smile. You always had a kind word and a twinkle in your eye. Your positive attitude was infectious. I can't ever remember a time when you grew impatient or irritated with anyone. As a child, some of my fondest memories are the times that we spent together at grandma's houseand all around Rush Lake. You always had time for me, made the best grilled cheese sandwiches, took me to the movie, drove me all over the place while telling me funny stories about the locals and your childhood. You made me watch The 6 Million Dollar Man and Lawrence Welk. You always saw the good in others and made everyone around you feel special. I also remember how much you loved andadmired my dad, you told me that he was always like a father to you. I wish I could have spent more time with you as an adult. You have touched all of our lives and we will miss you, but I know you are home now with yourbrothers and parents. -- Dawn Arbour Shockley, Ada, Michigan
