REID, MILDRED
Waterford -- Mildred "Toni" Reid of 208 Shore Road, Waterford, formerlyof 25 Clark Street, Merchants Village, Westerly, RI, passed on into the hands of the Lord on Mother's Day, 14 May 2006 at the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, New London, surrounded by her loving family. Toni was born on 26 Aug 1923 in Willimantic, daughter of the late Amedee Arbour and Alexina (Pelletier) Arbour. She was predeceased by her husband, Nelson Reid; a sister, Doris Donath; and brothers, Raymond and Francis Arbour. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Gayle and her husband, Joseph Misto, of Westerly, RI, Charlene and her husband, Daniel Pease, of Waterford, Sheryl Reid, of Tampa, FL, Deborah and her husband, Andrew Benkert, of Equality, AL; a son, Christian Reid, of Camp Hill, AL; grandchildren, Joseph "Jay" Misto and his wife, Kara, of Lincoln, RI, Holly Misto and her husband, and Scott Quaratella, of Westerly, RI; two great-grandchildren, Everett and James Misto; and also by several nieces and nephews. Toni was a communicant of St. Pius X Church, a member ofthe Daughter's of Isabella, and a lifetime member of the Mystic Seaport Marine Museum where she worked for many years before her retirement. She was a member of the Pequot Ramblers Square Dance Club, Tops ChapterNo. 3 of Rhode Island, the Westerly Senior Citizens Center, and the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW Her home and family were always most important to her. She enjoyed league bowling, square and round dancing, music and reading. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm in the Gaffney-DolanFuneral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated Thursday at 11 am in St. Pius x Church, Elm Street, Westerly. Interment will be in River Bend Cemetery, 117 Beach St., Westerly. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name be made to Homeand Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 169 George St., Pawtucket, RI 02860-9924.She had 5 children
