A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Robert Fredrick Arbour died Thursday, 16 July 2009, after declining health at age 72. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Friday, 17 July, from 6 pm to8 pm. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Saturday, 18 July, from 9 am until a memorial service at 10 am. Robert was a graduate of Catholic High School and LSU and worked for 34 years at Power Packing Corp. Preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Stone Arbour; parents, Sidney Vincent and Julia May Bahlinger Arbour; brother, J.B. and his wife, Katherine Arbour; sister, Gertie Lee Arbour McNeely; sister-in-law, Ann Wilbert Arbour; and brothers-in-law, Fred Hannaman Jr., Simon A. McNeely, and Ted Stephen Tomeny. He is survived by a brother, Sidney V. Arbour Jr.; and sisters, Katherine Hannaman, Sister Jane Louise Arbour, Virginia Tomeny, and Eloise and husband Roland Selig. He is also survived by hischildren, Michael Lee Arbour and wife Katy,of Dallas, Denise Arbour Tebbe and husband Jim, of New Orleans, and Jeanne Arbour Favrot and husband Stephen, of Birmingham, AL; and 10 grandchildren, Sydney, Katherine,and Caroline Arbour, Trey, Sarah, and William Tebbe, and Elise, Reeves,David, and Stone Favrot. Robert will be missed by his family, but not by the many speckled trout that he did not have time to catch. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested forCatholic High School.
