Notes The 1901 Census shows Stanislas as having been adopted by Joseph and Mary LATERREUR and living in Perce, where he attended school.
In Nov 1910, Stanley travelled to the US via the port of Sault Sainte Marie, MI. He had come from Sudbury, ON, was headed for Escanaba, MI. Hedid report that his father was still livingin Copper Cliff, ON, at thetime. Stanley was noted to be 5'5" tall with a fair complexion, lightbrown hair, and blue eyes. He also reported a red wart on his left eye lid. Although he had $28 in his pocket, Stanley claimed to be coming to the US to look for work.
