Notes On 13 Apr 1918, Rose (recorded in error as Vital ARBOUR but should havebeen Mrs. Vital ARBOUR) and Margaret emigrated to the USvia the port of Malone, NY. They intended to intially stay in Malone with her brotherRev. G.. BLANCHARD. Rose was noted as being 5' tall with a dark complexion, brown hair, and brown eyes. Margaret was noted as being 5'4" tallwith a fair complexion, brown hair, and brown eyes. Rosehad $20 in herpocketbook.

The will of the lateRev. Father Blanchard has been offered for probate.. . . furniture, framed pictures, carpet, etc, to his sister Mrs. Arbour; graphophone to Margaret Arbour . . . The will also directs that hissister should send souvenirs to Mrs.(Dr.) Brunelle and their childrenand to three of Father Blanchard's nieces.

A GOOD WOMAN CALLED TO HER REWARD -- Mrs. Mary L. Conley passed away
. . . and the deep sympathy goes out to him and his only remaining sister, Mrs. Vital Arbour, who now resides with him. Mrs. Conley was born at St Rosalie, county of Bagot, provinceof Quebec, and was one of a family of nine children, seven brothersand two sisters. Of these only Father Blanchard and Mrs. Arbour survive.

ARBOUR --At the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Lavine, in Malone, 19 March, suddenly of heart disease, Mrs. Rose Arbour, aged 65. Mrs. Arbour had suffered from heart weakness for several months but was able tobe up and about when stricken. She was a faithful member of the Notre Dame Churchand a woman of most kindly and lovable qualities, who washeld in high esteem for sympathetic and generous nature by all who knew her. She was a sister of the late Rev. Father Blanchard. Her only near relative surviving is her daughter. The funeraltook place from Notre DameChurch Saturday morning.
