  Charles (Charlie) attended Firth Park Secondary School for Boys inSheffield and was awarded his School Certificate in July 1931.He passed withCredit in English Literature, History, Franch, Maths,Chemistry and Artbut only a pass in Music!Most of hisworking life was spent in the Steel Industry as a Chemistand later as a foreman.He died of heart failurein 1969 at the age of 54.
