  Upon entering the US at Detroit, MI, on 14 May 1925, "Mary" was noted as 5'4" with a fair complexion, light brown hair, and blue eyes. Violet's parents were both born in Ontario.[1930Census] Barrie Newspaper Index Arbour, E. ARBOUR Sincere sympathy is extended to the friends and relatives of the late Mrs. E. Arbour, Detroit. She was formerly Miss Violet Fitzgerald, daughter of Ed Fitzgerald and the late Mrs. Fitzgerald (formerly Christina O'Hara of Flos) of this place.She is survived by her father, who still resides here and two sisters, Mrs. Hawke of Midland and Mrs. Del Burnfield of Utopia, and one brother, Bill Fitzgerald, of Port Colborne.
