  Military Korean War -- US Army On 09 May 1946, Donald registered for the Draft. On that date, he was described as 5'6" and 129 lbs, with brown eyes, brown hair, and a light complexion. His father was recorded as his next of kin. ___ The Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA) -- 14 Sep 1995 ARBOUR, J. DONALD Died 5:05 pm Monday, 11 Sep 1995, at his residence in Plaquemine. He was 67 and a native of Plaquemine. He was a retired Iberville Trust and Savings Bank insurance manager, with more than 30 years ofservice, and aUS Army veteran of the Korean conflict. Visiting was held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, 10 am to 1:15 pm Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial at St Clement of Rome Catholic Church at 1:30 pm Wednesday, celebrated by the Rev. Jerome Dugas. Burial in Grace MemorialPark. Survivedby two daughters, Lisa L. Arbour, Baton Rouge, and Nancy Carolyn Ross,Muscatine, Iowa; two sons, Scott S. Arbour, Zachary, and Donald Dean Arbour, Houston; three sisters, Gloria Dupont, Plaquemine, Juanita Arbour, New Orleans,and Jan Fleming, RiverRidge; six grandchildren, Henry Sanchez-Leal III, Baton Rouge, Adam, Jordan, and Ryland Arbour, all of Houston, and Jamie and Morgan Arbour, both of Zachary. Preceded in deathby wife, Geraldine Fisher Arbour; and parents, George and Beatrice Johnson Arbour. He was a member of Plaquemine Rotary Club and Elks Lodge No. 1398 of BPOE, Plaquemine. ___ Bio from Facebook on 09 May 2010: 09 May 1928 -- Born in Plaquemine, Louisiana, Joseph Donald ARBOUR was the only son of auto mechanic George Donald ARBOUR and his wife Beatrice JOHNSON. Young Donald married 19-year old Geraldine FISHER in about 1948. They immediately began their family, which grew to include 4 children: Dean, Lisa, Scott, and Nancy. In the early 1950s, Donald answered his country's call to duty during the KoreanConflict. Shortly after this, he began a 30-year tenure at the Iberville Trust and Savings Bank asan insurance manager. Geraldine died in Plaquemine on 12 June 1991. Donald died there on 11 September 1995. Both of them were buried in the Grace Memorial Park Mausoleum in Plaquemine.
