  Clara never married or had children, but became the matriarch of her family. After attending a convent in St James Parish, LA, she returned toBaton Rouge, where the family home always held a bed. Her brothers andsisters lived with her foryears. Clara lived in there in 1880, in 1900, in 1910, in 1920, and in 1930. In 1880, she lived at 3 West Convent Street. In 1920, she lived at 325 Saint Louis Street. By 1930, she livedwith brother Manny and family at 352 Saint Louis Street.
