Notes - Carrie never married or had children. Like her sister before her, Carrie was also a trained nurse. She began her classes at the New Orleans Sanitarium and later transferred to the Touro School of Nursing, from which she later graduated. She, too, took a private nursing job in New Orleans. Tragically, Carried suffered from diabetes in the day before insulin came into common use. The disease eventually took her young life.
