  Notes	Source: From Cap St. Ignace, Jean-Baptiste traveled to Fort Chartres, Illinois in 1762. He brought property nearby. He met Pierre Leclade whowas a fur trader, adventurer, and entrepreneur. Pierre was looking to establish an outpost for his fur-trading business on the west side of the Mississippi. Pierre gathered 35 men and set off in canoes to find a suitable location. They found a place and named it after the King of France, St. Louis. Jean-Baptiste was buried in King of France cemetery, which no longer exists. The remains were moved several times, and currently are in Mt. Olive cemetery in an unmarked mass grave containing the all of the remains from King of France cemetery.
