Marjorie sailed on the SS Abangares from Havana, Cuba, on 27 Apr 1927, arriving in New Orleans, LA, on 29 Apr 1927. She was likely on vacation.
--> An interesting note: She reported her birth date to be 02 Apr 1894,which is considerably different than we thought.

Marjorie sailed on the "Majestic" from Cherbourg, France, to New York, NY, arriving on 21 Sep 1932, apparently returning from vacation. She reported her birth date to be 29 Aug 1895 -- not uncommon for a woman to shave a few years off her age.

Marjorie seems to have quite the career . . .

In 1941, Marjorie served on the Advisory Board of the Young Women's Christian Asssociation at LSU.

From http://www.aceweb.org/ace_presidents/arbour.html: Marjorie was a pioneer during her long career with the Louisiana Extension Department. She was agriculture editor for many years until retirement in 1962. During her tenure, she was the recipient of many honors. Upon retirement, she was sent on official trip to South America. Marjorie ARBOUR, the first woman president of AAACE, was born in Baton Rouge in 1893. She began her career at Louisiana State in 1917 as a home demonstration agent.In 1918, she became assistant extension editor, and in 1941, was named editor. In 1922, she received aBA degree, and in 1925 an MA degree, bothin English from LSU. She taught journalism at LSU while serving in theextension editorial service. Shealso taught a course in home economicsjournalism at the University of Tennessee, and conducted special courses in journalism for teachers, ministers, and home economists. Progressive Farmer magazine named her 'Agricultural Woman of the Year' in 1948.In 1957, USDA presented her a Superior Service Award. She retired fromLouisiana State University 30 June 1962. In retirement, she served as a consultant to the Louisiana County Agents Association and did free-lance writing. She was a member of ThetaSigma Phi, Delta Kappa Gamma, Epsilon Sigma Phi and other organizations. She died in Baton Rouge, 20 November 1971, at the age of 78.

According to Clifford Gerard LeBLANC, Marjorie was born on 23 Aug 1892.Although reportedly buried in Hopp, LA, Marjorie seems to have a plot in Roselawn Cemetery in Baton Rouge, according to Find-A-Grave research.
