Both Jean-Baptiste and Adeline became godparents to his cousin's son Jean-Baptiste ARBOUR in October 1856 in Joliette City. Adeline then passed away in December 1892 at just 58-years old. In 1881, the family lived in St Come, Quebec, also in Joliette County. By 1891, they lived in the village of Joliette. They were still there in 1901, living at 8 deLanaudiereStreet, where they owned 130 acres and a 10-room house. Jean-Baptiste was a journeyman and a farmer. By 1911, they seem to have retired, as they no longer lived on their farm but in an apartment house at 10 St Marc St. Jean-Baptiste worked as a journeyman, earning only $70 that year.
