Loved wifeof the late Christopher Ward. Loved grandmother of Carolyn Kandilas, AlanGris,Nancy Quinn, Kevin Bergie, Paula D'Orazio, Graham Ward, Sarah Ward, Christopher Hall, Patrick Hall, Brian House, Stephen House, Melissa House, Scott Miller, Leanne Ward, Laurie Ward, Michael Krok, and Jennifer Krok, and great-grandmother to Nicholas, Daniel, Stephanie, Keegan, Jacklyn, and Mykayla. Also survived by her brother Stan and his wife EnaArbour and by her in-laws Edna Arbour, Bernard and Anne Ward, FlorenceWard and Mary Fuller. Predeceased by her brothers Edmund Arbour andBernard Arbour, by her sisters Eva Leach, Bernardine Leach, and Edna Arbour, and by her dear friend and sister-in-law Katie Bothen. A most lovingmother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took great delight in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren,and always took time for eachand every one of them. Visitation at the P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 7 East Avenue South. on Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm with a Prayer Vigil on Friday at 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Lawrence's Catholic Church on Saturday, 18 October, at 10:30 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundationor Firestone Clinic at St. Joseph's Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Ils ont tous chacun leur vache quelques cochons, leurs volailles, quelques- uns ont des boeufs. Il a été concédé à chaque habitant 40 pieds de front sur le port sur 100 pieds de profondeur, on en concédera autant à ceux qui viendront pourformer un village. Il y a une forge établie, un moulin à eau qui ne moudra que le printemps prochain. Quelques habitants commencent à recueillir des blés, de l'orge, d'autres grains dans peu de temps. Ils en auront tous pour leur subsistance etplus. Le Missionnaire a quitté, on a de la peine à en obtenir un ce qui est fâcheux et contraire à l'établissement. Le Chirurgien est repassé en France pour ses affaires et on en doit ramener un autre le printemps prochain. Outre les habitations des particuliers, il y a le domaine seigneurial bien bâti, les terres commencent à rapporter toutes sortes de grains. Plusieurs personnes se disposent à s'y aller établir, le printemps prochain. La disette et la cherté du blé empêchent qu'il n'y en aie un plusgrand nombre. HARBOUR-ARBOUR. Une des plus vieilles familles gaspésiennes est celle des Arbour-Harbour. L'ancêtre Michel Harbour, fils de Pierre Harbour et de Jeanne Prédan, était né à Saint-Romain-de-Montmain près de Rouen en Normandie. Michel fut attiré parla pêche et c'estm Fi?rt),bres18 Rivitab» «tab»celle-ciqui contribua à sa venue en Gaspésie. Michel épousa Marie Constantineau et aura 8 fils. Les Arbour gaspésiensdescendent de son fils prénommé aussi Michel qui s'installa à Mont Louis et y épousera vers 1699 Barbe Morin. Together, Harry and Elizabethraised a large family of 11 children in Waubaushene. They all seem to have followed their mother'sPresbyterian faith, although at least one son was buried in a Catholic cemetery. Harry was the last in his line tospeak French. Note: In the 1911 Census, the family religion was recorded as being Methodist. ___ Bio from Facebook 01 Mar 2010: 01 Mar 1876 -- Several years after his parents moved from Quebec to Ontario, Henri Joseph ARBOUR was born in Port Severn, ON - the 4th of 7 children of Basile ARBOUR and Ann Jane MOONEY. On 16 Nov 1904, at age 28,Harry married Elizabeth Jane RIDDELL in Toronto. It is unclear how thecouple ended up there - perhaps they eloped. Together, Harry and Elizabeth raised a large family of 11 children inWaubaushene. They all seem to have followed their mother's Presbyterian faith, although at least one son was buried in a Catholic cemetery. Additionally, the family religion was recorded as being Methodist in 1911. Similar to many others inthe Port Severn-Waubaushene area, Harry was a saw mill laborer. He wasalso the last in his line to speak French. Elizabeth suffered for years with an ailmentknown as Bright's Disease and was just 47-years old when she passed away due to chronic nephritis on 19 Dec 1927.
