There is a slim chance that we have found Angelina in the 1930 Census. An Angelina, 42, was married to William OGDEN, 50. They had married just 5 years before, yet livingwith them was a 17-year old Herve. Herve was also shown with the last name of OGDEN, but this might not be correct. Angelina's first marriage was at age 19. She was born in QC, as were her parents. Herve was born in CT. This family lived in Woonsocket, Providence Co, RI, in 1930. The family also could have returned to QC after Antoine's death. They had not been in the US long so maybe didn't want to stay. However, it does look like son Romeo stayed in the US or at least returnedlater.

The above comments don't seem to ring true. In 1926, wefind Angelina, Julia, and Romeo still living in New Bedford, MA, as though they had never left. They had changed addresses, though, and were then at 62 DuncanSt. Wherewas Herve? At 13, he was probably too young to have a job and, thus, didn't get his own entry in the directory. Strange, though, by 1932, there was an Irving ARBOUR living in the house at 62 Duncan St. Who is he? A year or two of directoriesin between might prove helpful. Onsecond thought, to someone just taking notes, Herve could sound a lot like Irving. Perhaps it really is the youngest member of this family who remained in the house on Duncan St.

However, there is still no sign of any of them in the 1930Census.

In 1930, we found the house at 62 Duncan St -- seemingly no ARBOURs there. There is aJulia, 28, living there. She was married to a James E. DOANNE, 30, and they had been married for 10years. She was born in MA, but supposedly sowere her parents. They rented a room for $30 from EmeliaISABELL. Perhaps Angelina and family also rented a room from Emelia in1926. Perhaps Irving (aka Herve) later rented a room there from the same woman.

From Ron FORTIER via email<fortierron a hotmail.com> on 09 Jan 2012: I am looking into the whereabouts of Angelina Isabelle Armour Boisvert. She married my g-grandfather Francois Boisvert sometime between 1932 and 1935. He died in 1941 and she died in 1954. She drops out of site in New Bedford between 1927 to 1935 when she reappears as Angelina Boisvert. There is an Irving Arbour at Duncan in 1932 though as you stated. I tried to get their marriage information at New Bedford city hall but it's not there, which could mean they were married wherever she was living.

From Ron FORTIER via email on 10 Jan 2012: Francois' wife Annie died inMay of '32 and the next directory- '36has Angelina as a Boisvert. There are no '33 or '35 directories.

Miss Me But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in gloom filled rooms
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me alittle - but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone
It is all part of the masterplan
A step on the road to home
So when you are lonely and sick atheart
Go to the friends we know
Bury your sorrow in doing good deeds
Miss me - but let me go.
Love you forever. May you rest in peace. We love you. Gilbert, Marge, Carolyn, Lorraine, Debra, and our families.

From Catherine MOUSSEAU DUNNE via email on 18 Aug 2009: Leo married a woman who was 11 years older than him. They seemed to have a good marriage and had one son, named Allan. Leo lived in Toronto (about 5 hours from here) but would come up home to visit a couple of times a year with Aunt Pineapple. When Uncle Leo and Aunt Eilleen married, my oldest brother was about 3 or 4. She loved to tease him and one day he looked at her and called her Aunt Pineapple. The name stuck. All of the nieces andnephews grew up calling her Aunt Pineapple.

From Catherine via email on 20 Aug 2009: My Aunt Eileen got pregnant asa young woman. The man she was in love with went off to war - he was killed and didn't know about the baby to be. Aunt Eileen raised Donna on her own. Donna Mousseau actually gotmarried 2 months after her mother married my Uncle Leo. Donna married Wayne Rivet on 10 October 1964. Aunt Eileen and Uncle Leogot married on 22 August 1964. They both got married in Campbell's Bay, Quebec. Leo did not adopt her as she was alreadyan adult and on her own. He did treat her like a daughter, though. I donot have any information on Donna's birth. I do know that she is closeto my mother's age though. Aunt Eileen was 17 years older than my mother.

From Catherine via email on 21 Aug 2009: Last year on June 29th my AuntEileen diedandshe was cremated a few days later. I always save big projects(usually) for the summers when I'm off work. I was busy painting my son Andrew's room when the phone rings. It's my mother and she tells me that Uncle Dan and Aunt Irene are downstairs and Uncle Dan wants to talk to me. Can I please come downstairs? She sounds upset and I ask herif it's an emergency because Iwas in the middle of painting the ceiling. Uncle Dan takes the phone and says: Your Uncle Leo just called andheis extremely upset. I say of course he is, his wife just died. Uncle Dan says no, it'smore than that. I ask what's wrong?! Uncle Dan says: There was a fire at the crematorium last night and they can't find your aunt. Your Uncle Leo is thinking of suing. Shannon, may the Lord forgive me, but I started laughing. I hung upthephone and went downstairs. I walk in look at my Uncle Dan and he starts laughing. Mom gets upset with the two of us. I say to mom: The owner of the crematoriumis stupid, whydidn't he just scoop up some ashes and put them in a container and give them to Uncle Leo. It's not like Uncle Leo would know the difference and it would save a dying man (he was dyingof cancer) this anguish. Anyways, momis not amused. 3 days later the custodian who had been on dutythe night of the fire comes back to work from his long weekend off. Hetells the owner, oh by the way, I was able to get all the containers of ashes out before the fire got toobad.I put them . . . and he tells the owner where the ashes have been stored. They call Uncle Leo and he getsAunt Eileen and is able to bury her - after a proper Catholic mass that is. When Uncle Leo died this past March, his son Allan used thesamecrematorium for him. My only comment was: Is he looking for trouble?

From Cheryl MOORE via email <cmoore a tobgyn.com> on 23 Dec 2011:Good morning Shannon! I saw this email when trying to discover the birth place of my birth father. I saw him and my grandparents listedby accident, but none of my aunts, uncles,or cousins on the Carli-O’Hara ancestry tree. If you would like some more information on the children of Lucille Germaine Dupont and Joseph Omer Leo Arbour, let me know. Have a Merry Christmas! Cheryl Henderson, Maiden Arbour

Email to Cheryl MOORE on 23 Dec 2011: Dear Cheryl: Your email is a great present for me, as I love to hear from distant "cousins" who have information and stories to share. I would love to learn more about your branch. Please do share. About 98% ofall ARBOURs in North America descend from one immigrant ancestor, Michel ARBOUR, who came from France in 1665 and settled in what later became known as Quebec, Canada. He is responsible for over 25,000 descendants whom I have listed in our huge tree. You are descended from his eldest son and namesake Michel ARBOUR; whereas, I am descended from a youngerson named Jean-Baptiste ARBOUR. Looking forward to hearing from you again, Cheryl.

Note added 30 Oct 2012: After having never heard back from Cheryl, I decided to email her. Her email was returned as Failed.

20 March 1910 -- Born in Bonaventure, QC, Joseph-Armand ARBOUR was the 9th of 11 children born to farmer Levi ARBOUR and Marie-Zephora POIRIER. Perhaps to distinguish himself from his siblings, Armand seems to have left Quebec as a young man and moved to Ontario or the US, according to his nephew Roger ARBOUR. In 1937, Armand appears to have become a father to Roger Allen ARBOUR, who was born in Chatham, Ontario, and was perhaps named afterArmand's nephew. The mother ofArmand's son is unknown. While Roger married and became father to 6 children, it is further unknown when or where Armand may have died. If you have any knowledge of this branch of the family, please do share.

31 March 1901 -- Born in Perce, QC, Joseph-Arthur ARBOUR was the 5th of13 children of farmer, fisher, merchant, hotelier, garage owner, boatman, and restauranteur Alfred ARBOUR and his wife MarieDRISCOLL. Talk about a jack-of-all-trades! This mightexplain why Joseph-Arthur left home to seek his fortunes elsewhere. On 02 July 1927, he married 29-year old Marie-Mathilda-"Lillie" StAUBIN in Hull, QC. On 07 March 1929, the electrician traveled from their home in Ottawa, ON, to Detroit, MI, wherehe hoped to find work while staying with brother-in-law Alfred ALBERT. Upon entering the US, he was noted to be 5'5" with a medium complexion, light brown hair, and brown eyes. He carried $50 in his pocket. At the timeJoseph Arthur hoped to make permanent residence in the US, but apparently the situation did not work out as he had planned. He must have not only returned to Canada but returned to Quebec as well. JosephArthur and Lillie had 4 children - 2 daughters and 2 sons - 3 of whom wereborn in the vicinity of Montreal during the years of 1932, 1936, and 1937. Lillie died in Montreal in May 1968. Joseph Arthur seems to have died sometime between 1973and 1975, but details are unknown.

Also living with them in 1930 were grandsons Lawrence ARBOUR, 10, and Philip ARBOUR, 8. What had happened to the parents of these youngboys?

    Kennebec Journal (Augusta, ME) -- 28 Jun1905
The Augusta record for early peas goes to Angus Arbour, gardener for Hon. John F. Hill, who supplied them for the table Jun 26. This does not look as though the spring had been very backward in this section (sic),though no small part of the credit goes to Mr. Arbour's skill and careas a gardener.
