Arthur was born at 9 Ormsby Street Shoreditch on 30th Dec 1915.
His Father was killed in action in WW1 in 1917 and his Motherre-married. She died when Arthur was around 5 years old.
Orphaned at around 5 years old and adopted by his mothers brother andwife (William Daniels and Jane Creeper)
Arthur won a scholarship to attend higher education, but decided toleave school at 14.Arthur's first job was in a funeral parlour. Healso did upholstery.
Arthur volunteered to join up the the British Army during secondworld war,and was with the London Royal Fusilliers mainly stationed inthe middle east.
He married Rosemary Anthony 16/02/1948 and lived at 16, ScrivenStreet, Queensbridge Rd. Shoreditch.
Arthur began working for the G.P.O. (General Post Office now BritishTelecom) and received a Imperial service medal for work for thecompany.
